Windows 7 Reset
From experience, your own computer gets slower and slower over time. It can therefore make sense to do a Windows 7 reset from time to time in order to remove a lot of unnecessary ballast and perhaps also hidden dangers. In the end, this ensures that you can often gain some speed even with an old computer without having to install new components. Therefore, we would like to show you today how you can reset your PC if you use Windows 7.
Can I reset Windows 7 without boot CD?
If Windows is already pre-installed, which we assume in this case, then you do not need a boot CD to return Windows 7 to factory settings on your PC. This would only be necessary if Windows was not installed on your computer. This is certainly possible, but it does not fit to this question, so we do not assume it in this case.
- Click on Start
- Select the “Control Panel”
- Go to “System and Security”
- Under “Backup and Restore” -> “Restore system settings” you will find the item “Advanced Restore Methods”
- Click on “Return your computer to factory condition”
- Follow the reset instructions
Returning Windows 7 to factory settings is very easy once you have found the initial step. The rest of the process is explained step by step, so there shouldn’t be any mistakes, even if you’re not an IT expert. We wish you good luck with the factory settings and the new speed of your computer!
