Change Footer in PowerPoint

Presentations in PowerPoint offer a lot of space to present information in an obvious way. But there is always peripheral information that is important but has less to do with the actual presentation. Sources would be a good example, or what presentation it is. Such things can be packed very well into a footer. Therefore we show you how to change the footer in PowerPoint and fill it with individual data.

Footer in PowerPoint can be customized with the Slide Master:

The slide master is the tool when it comes to the structured design of your presentation. If you use a predefined design, you can access a variety of sub-designs and edit them individually. This way you can also change the position of the footer if it does not fit your requirements.

Step-by-step instructions:

  • Start PowerPoint
  • Switch to the “Insert” tab and to the “Text” group
  • Click on “Header and Footer
  • Activate in the tab “Slide” the item “Footer”
  • If the footer is the same on all pages, you can enter the content in the text field below”
  • If necessary, you can now change the footer on each slide individually
  • Done!

Thanks to the footer, you can easily and clearly share important information. We hope that this article has helped you and that your presentation will be a complete success.
