Google Chrome black screen / Solution
No matter if it’s a newly set up computer or even just during use – With Google Chrome, a black screen is not entirely uncommon. And often you are completely at a loss as you can no longer use the browser. Even uninstalling it is not possible, because Google Chrome shows a black screen here as well. But in many cases, the problem can be solved in a few seconds with a few tricks. Therefore, we would like to show you what to consider and how you can also surf the Internet normally again.
Chrome Black Screen – here’s what you can do:
There is a setting that can often get the problem under control. However, the setting is in the browser, so it rather requires a solution to get there. With the incognito mode or a command in the shortcut, however, this is quite simple. The error does not usually occur in the incognito window, so you can navigate here.
- Right click on your Google Chrome shortcut
- Switch to the Shortcut tab and go to the very end of the “Target” line
- First make a space and insert the following: –disable-gpu
- Click on “Apply
Chrome should now no longer show a black screen. However, this is actually only a temporary solution. If that still hasn’t helped, try right-clicking to open a window in incognito mode. You should also do that:
- Open Google Chrome
- Click on the three dots in the upper right corner and go to settings
- Scroll down and click on “Advanced”
- In the “System” section, turn off hardware acceleration and restart your browser
The solution is actually quite simple, isn’t it? However, you will face big problems with the black screen, because you can’t find the solution. We hope the tutorial has helped you. If so, we are also happy about your visit on Youtube. Leave us a subscription!
