Make Firefox default browser

Today, surfing is possible with many browsers. Google Chrome, Opera, Edge or even Firefox allow you to explore the Internet all by yourself. But what about when you have decided on a browser? By default, all operating systems come with Microsoft Edge. But today we want to explain to you how to make Firefox your default browser, for example. This is actually quite simple if you know where the corresponding function is hidden in Windows 10. Of course, the same applies to other browsers like Chrome or Opera.

Why set Firefox as the default browser (Windows 10):

Firefox is one of the best solutions for browsing the Internet. However, how good a browser is depends on various factors. On the one hand, the browsing speed is important and there can be major differences. Firefox can keep up well with Google Chrome here. A second important point for such tools is the store with all its extensions. Good browsers have a large number of free extensions (often created by private users) and thus allow an even better surfing experience.

Step-by-step instructions:

  • Type “default apps” in the search bar and click on it
  • Scroll down a bit to the “Web browsers” item
  • Select Firefox from the browsers
  • Done!

As you can see, it is not difficult at all to set Firefox as the default browser. Directly after the installation of Windows it can happen that Edge wants to convince you of its advantages, but in such a case you simply have to decline and switch anyway. After that, you can start using Mozilla Firefox right away!
