Enable Javascript Firefox

Enable Javascript Firefox (Enable / Disable)

Firefox lets you explore the Internet. The browser offers all the necessary functions that you need as a user. However, some functions may not be enabled. To enable JavaScript in Firefox can be especially important, as it is necessary for dynamic use of web pages. Usually this works without problems, but sometimes the function is turned off. We will therefore show you what to do in a few seconds.

I have JavaScript installed – is that enough?

Installing Java is one thing, whether Firefox allows you to use it is another. Therefore, we quickly go into the deeper settings of Firefox and see if you still need to enable JavaScript or if it is already enabled. This takes only a few seconds and so you can exclude a big source of error when it comes to problems while surfing the Internet.

Step-by-step instructions:

  • Launch Firefox
  • Enter “about:config” in the address bar
  • Confirm the warning
  • Enter “javascript.enabled” in the search bar
  • If the value is “False”, double click on it
  • If the value is “True”, Java is enabled
  • Done!

As you can see, the appropriate settings are quickly made. However, you have to know where they are located, and unfortunately that is not as intuitive in the new Firefox as it used to be. However, if you know the functions, you will reach your goal much faster and can set the browser the way that suits you best. We wish you a lot of fun surfing with Firefox!
