Change Firefox language

Change Firefox language

Firefox is available in many different languages nowadays. The browser often follows the Windows language, but it can also be set completely individually. In this article, we will explain how to change the language in Firefox and which other functions can be accessed. Not only the display language can be changed, but also the language in which web pages are displayed by default.

Firefox language – always with a fallback

Something we find very good about the Firefox settings is the possibility for a fallback. If a language version is incomplete, you can set an alternative display language. For example, if there are no translations in German for some buttons, you could set Firefox to display them in English or another language. Pretty handy!

Step-by-step instructions:

  • Launch Firefox
  • Click on the three bars in the upper right corner
  • Select “Settings”
  • In the “General” tab, scroll down a bit until the “Language” item appears
  • Select the language you want to use. Via “Set alternative languages” you can set a fallback
  • Done!

The appropriate settings are quickly made and Firefox can be quickly configured according to your own requirements. We hope that you can now work efficiently with the Mozilla browser and wish you much fun and success on your travels on the Word Wide Web!
